I believe conversations can change your life forever.
I’ve received job offers at weddings.
Coaching opportunities at baseball games.
Recruiter calls that led to doubling my income.
And self-talks leading to almost eight years without alcohol.
This week’s conversation?
A conversation with a lady from Facebook Marketplace who was buying some furniture.
Here’s the story ⬇️
We were moving bedroom furniture into a U-Haul, casually talking about life.
She’s 71, works at Tesla as an Executive Designer, previously ran her own luxury brand company, and endured the devastation of losing her husband years ago.
A full life.
(Not to mention she was incredibly fit and absolutely (wo)manhandled a massive dresser with me)
Sounds like someone who knows a thing or two.
Naturally she asked about my life, and I told her about my current path:
Quit my job
Bought a one-way ticket
Traveling the world
Became a yoga & meditation teacher
And now working on next steps while helping my parents move to Mississippi
I don’t remember everything we discussed, but here’s what I do remember her saying:
“Follow the breadcrumbs”
She mentioned she’s been through many life transitions and found her way by “following the breadcrumbs.”
I didn’t even know what this meant at the time, but it felt important.
Once we finished moving the furniture, I sprinted to my journal and wrote in big capital letters:
FOLLOW THE BREADCRUMBS.
Seed planted.
I reflected on it throughout the day.
Meditated on it.
Questioned what it meant.
Then I noticed a shift.
Instead of letting life happen, I started analyzing opportunities in my life.
Loving being outside helping a neighbor build a patio.
The positive feedback I’ve received teaching over 120+ yoga classes.
Being recognized as a leader in recent yoga & meditation trainings.
And then as I’m analyzing my life through this new lens, I receive a text from a friend asking me to facilitate a meditation session.
Paid.
My first real gig as a meditation teacher.
BREADCRUMB.
I picked that shit up and ate it.
No questions asked.
Session booked.
Full body yes.
Let’s see where it leads 🚀
🌱 For You: Look for breadcrumbs in your life.
Opportunities you might have overlooked or not noticed previously.
Search for the breadcrumbs.
Follow one that feels right.
Run with it.
Experiment.
And see where it leads.
Maybe it’s aligned.
Maybe not.
But follow the clues and see what patterns emerge.
Breadcrumb → Experiment → Evidence → Path
The answers you seek might be staring you in the face.
One step, aligned breadcrumb at a time.
🧘♂️ Mindfulness Tip of the Week
Tip: Identify your Human Design
Action: Go to ChatGPT, Claude, or AI tool of your choice, and prompt it to provide your Human Design.
Provide your birth date, time of birth, and place of birth (city & state)
Value: There are five types of Human Design:
Generator
Manifesting Generator
Manifestor
Projector
Reflector
Learning that I am a Projector taught me that opportunities come my way, and then I take action when the opportunity is aligned.
Learning how you’re designed to operate in the world might help you as well.
