Yo yooo! Today’s going to be quick. Transitioned to a new house sitting gig, learning a new Vinyasa flow, and prepping for a full-day send tomorrow climbing Mount St. Helens.

Locked & loaded - I’ve run around St. Helens, now time to go up 🚀
So let’s get it ⬇️
A Simple, Yet Life-Altering Decision
One year ago, I went to one of my best friend’s weddings, which altered the entire trajectory of my life.
Let’s rewind.
Last year I quit my job, bought a one-way ticket to Bali, and set off on my grand adventure to travel the world on April 5, 2025.
I had no return flight home, but an impromptu wedding for my sister changed my plans and I flew home for the summer.
Here’s the kicker - I was scheduled to do a Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) in Bali starting September 1, so after the wedding and a 40-day road trip to 13 National Parks, I booked a flight back to Bali for early August.
I wanted to spend a couple of weeks visiting parts of Bali and Indonesia I hadn’t yet explored and make the most of my time before YTT began.
But now that I was home, at the forefront of my mind was one of my best friend’s weddings that I initially thought I would not attend due to being international.
It was a tough decision - I was fully embracing this new, nomadic, adventure-fueled life, and I wanted to capitalize on every second.
But after really thinking this through, and more importantly - feeling this through (practice listening to gut instinct), I decided to prioritize friends and family above anything else.
I was right here, right now.
Travel would still be there.
The adventures would still be had.
But the wedding would not.
Everything else could wait.
So I decided to postpone my trip by a couple of weeks and go to the wedding, not knowing it would change the course of my life forever.
Here’s What Happened Next
The wedding? Epic.
It was so special, and I wouldn’t have wanted to be anywhere else in the world - surrounded by family and friends celebrating the love of two very special people in my life.
Sweet Lu and I at his wedding!

Dad, Mom (😍), and I at the wedding!
From that wedding, I reconnected with old friends, rekindled friendships, and decided to go on the bachelor Caribbean cruise in January.
Here’s what transpired:
On that cruise, I taught yoga and meditation to ten guys
Which ultimately inspired a passion to lead more men to yoga
Inspired me to go deeper and register for a Meditation Teacher Training, leading to my first-ever paid gig
And now I’m still in weekly communication with that same crew.
Just spent a week living with the bride and groom, Lucas and Anna (happy one year anniversary!)
And starting in September I’ll be living with one of the guys from the cruise (s/o Slu!) as our friendship has continued to flourish.
What’s the point?
I say all this to reiterate that out of all the travel I’ve done, world exploration, and ‘finding myself,’ it seems pretty clear that part of my journey has been to simply reconnect with family and friends in ways I could never have planned.
All by making one decision to postpone my flight and prioritize that wedding.
And little did I know that in order to find even more of myself, I needed to come home.
To be with family.
Witness my sister get married.
To be there for my best friends.
And share in life’s experiences with the people that matter most.

Unexpectedly teaching yoga on a cruise ship in the Caribbean… can’t make this up!
🌱 For You
Here’s a simple framework that helped me gain perspective on decision-making:
What would 65-year-old you say?
And I’ll leave you with that ✌🏼
P.S. - my time in Bali was still freaking epic.
Crushed Yoga Teacher Training.
Came back home and taught yoga for five months.
Bought another one-way ticket to Guatemala and traveled all of Central America.
And still prioritized two separate bachelor parties.
🧘♂️ Mindfulness Tip of the Week
Tip: If you participated in the last four weeks of making a searching and fearless moral inventory of resentments, fears, guilts/shames, and assets, I encourage you to get vulnerable and share it, out loud, with someone you trust wholeheartedly.
Action: Share it with one person, all at once, after you’ve completed your inventory.
I worked on my inventory for six months, and then shared everything all at once.
Your partner does not provide feedback during the session - just read through the inventory and they can share anything after (if you want that)
Pause, emote, cry, and feel any emotions you want/need to move through.
Phone call/ Zoom is okay, but in-person, in a private setting, is best.
Also ensure your partner is willing and open. This can be an intense experience for both parties.
*If you don’t have anyone in your life (completely understandable and normal), I am always willing to hold space for you. Please message me directly and I’ll be there. We can do a phone, Zoom, or in person depending on location.
Why it matters:
Writing these down is the first step to bringing things holding us back out of our head and hearts, and into the real world.
There is power in this. You begin to release the controls.
The next and most powerful step is saying the things out loud, with another person, in the real world.
This is where the transformation alchemizes.
