World… what up! Coming to you live from a Double Tree lobby in Lubbock, Texas as I road trip from Washington to Mississippi… Yeehaw!

I still say - out of all my travel and adventures, last year’s National Parks road trip was arguably my all-time favorite.

40 days, sleeping in my car, trail running through mountains, exploring this country’s magical landscapes… talk about freedom.

Last year’s summer road trip - 21-mile trail run I did through the Grand Tetons!

Road trips symbolize a recurring lesson in my life:

I don’t need to have the whole route figured out.

Instead, have a direction, start moving, and let the path reveal itself.

Now let’s get into it ⬇️

A Week of Massive Transitions:

  • Painted my Oregon rental property

  • Project managed the home renovations

  • Officially moved out of my childhood home

  • And started road tripping from Washington to Mississippi

The before…

And after! Painted, renovated, staged, and ready for listing 🚀

You know what else happened?

Another breadcrumb.
This one hard to ignore.

If you recall from last week’s newsletter, I mentioned a potential opportunity to teach at another local yoga studio.

Well, I had the conversation and sure enough, the opportunity is real.

To teach.
At another local studio.
Right when I return from this trip.

Hmm….

Do you remember what I recommended for evaluating the breadcrumbs?

The conversations that give you energy.
The work that makes you feel alive.
The people that light you up.
The thing you can’t stop thinking about.

Well - this conversation checked all those boxes.

And the additional signs pointing towards teaching yoga are hard to ignore:

  • An opportunity to teach yoga at another studio in my hometown

  • Additional opportunities to teach at my current studio

  • Received a 6-month yoga membership at another local studio

  • Along with other naturally aligned opportunities

    • (ie: hosting a yoga/smoothie collab, hosting a 5k race, house sitting, etc)

As I evaluate potential next steps in my life, I’m paying attention to what naturally unfolds.

And the nudges, the breadcrumbs, are becoming harder to ignoe.

Is teaching in my hometown the undeniable next step in life?
Not sure.

The question I’ve boiled it down to is no longer, “Where do I want to live?” or “Where do I go next?”

But actually…

“With these opportunities naturally entering into my life, am I ready to devote this next chapter to becoming exceptional at teaching yoga and meditation and going deeper in my craft?”

Here’s the other realization I’ve had:

This isn’t permanent.

If I say yes, it doesn’t have to be forever.

Maybe it’s simply a six-month experiment.
Then I can reevaluate and make an informed decision from there.

And who knows what other opportunities will arise.

But just like the road trip, having a general direction (teaching yoga) and taking action (staying local and teaching) can help the path reveal itself.

Exploring Big Decisions

The next step I’m working through is brainstorming how this opportunity could work.

Here’s a helpful framework I use: If I choose this path, how could it possibly work?

Without any decisions made, I started listing every possible place I could live.

Friend’s house.
Apartment.
ADU.
Sprinter van.

If it could work, it goes on the list.
No judgment.

The goal isn’t to commit.
The goal is to see possibilities.

Then I evaluate my options and take action.

Could This Be a Calling?

As we close today’s newsletter, I want to come back to a topic we discussed two weeks ago:

Job. Career. Calling.

During the conversation I had with this yoga teacher, she said, “Teaching yoga is a calling”

My eyes widened.
Heart skipped a beat.

Am I stepping into the third tier?

Only time, and action, will tell.

🌱 For You: Is there something you’ve been thinking about or contemplating where, instead of an all-or-nothing approach, you can experiment?

Maybe try the thing for 1, 3, or 6 months to see how you like it instead of thinking this is a permanent idea?

Maybe it’s a side hustle.
New hairstyle.
Diet.
Or passion project.

Whatever it is, look for the signs, follow your curiosity, lean into your intuition, and give it a shot.

Because if there’s anything I’ve learned in life,
I don’t get clarity by thinking.
I get it through action.

🧘‍♂️ Mindfulness Tip of the Week

Tip: Move. Write. Meditate.

Action: No matter where I am in the world, these are my morning rituals.

Whether I’m living in Bali.
Driving cross-country.
Visiting friends and family.

These are the habits that keep me grounded and energized.

Value: I imagine that most of you have your morning routines dialed. Amazing - keep doing what works for you.

But maybe you’re looking for a new spark, need a gentle reminder, or realize you have no routine at all (and feel like it could help).

These are the three that help me feel like, well, me.

Combined, of course, with a cold shower and coffee.
In that order.

And if all else fails, I move my body.

I find that, over and over again, moving my body is the #1 way for me to naturally create energy and feel alive.

Maybe this is your next experiment.
